Beavers continue to be a challenge in the McKay Stream damming the outflow of the McKay Lake watershed. There is a dedicated group of people who maintain and break down the dam to ensure the water is flowing and flushing the lake. Unfortunately, as soon as the dam has been removed it is built back up. We are currently investigating a beaver baffle system to ensure the water continues to flow and to reduce the time required to maintain this outflow. Stay tuned!
